Terms and Conditions

1. About Us

LFPO4 is operated by CuprBot Labs, based in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada. We sell Dakota Lithium LiFePO4 batteries, power systems, and accessories online at lfpo4.com.

Contact: (778) 347-0999 | support@lfpo4.com

2. Acceptance of Terms

By placing an order on lfpo4.com, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your province/state) and agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not purchase from this website.

We may update these terms at any time. The version in effect at the time of your order governs that transaction.

3. Products and Accuracy

We strive to provide accurate descriptions, images, and specifications for all products. Battery specifications (capacity, voltage, cycle life, dimensions, weight) are provided as stated by Dakota Lithium and other manufacturers. Actual performance may vary based on usage conditions, temperature, charging practices, and load characteristics.

Product availability is not guaranteed. We reserve the right to discontinue products or limit quantities at any time.

4. Pricing and Payment

All prices are in Canadian Dollars (CAD). Prices shown on product pages include the base product price. The following are added at checkout:

  • Shipping costs (calculated based on destination and weight)
  • GST/HST (5% federal + applicable provincial rate)
  • QST (9.975% for Quebec orders)

For US orders, duties or customs may apply and are collected at delivery if applicable.

Payment Methods

  • Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) via Stripe
  • Apple Pay and Google Pay
  • Buy Now, Pay Later: Affirm, Klarna, Afterpay

All payments are processed securely through Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. We do not store your full credit card information.

Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL)

BNPL options are provided by third-party financing partners (Affirm, Klarna, Afterpay). These are credit products — missed payments may affect your credit score. You enter a credit agreement with the BNPL provider, not with LFPO4. We receive payment from the provider upfront; you pay them directly according to their terms.

5. Orders and Contract Formation

When you place an order:

  1. You add items to your cart and proceed to checkout
  2. You provide shipping and payment information
  3. You review all order details and accept these Terms
  4. You receive an order confirmation email

Your order confirmation email acknowledges receipt of your order. The contract is formed when we send your shipping confirmation. We may decline or cancel orders due to product unavailability, pricing errors, or suspected fraud.

We ship to all Canadian provinces/territories and all 50 US states. We do not ship internationally beyond Canada and the US.

Statutory Rights

This warranty is in addition to your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws. Implied warranties of merchantability and fitness cannot be waived.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from your purchase shall not exceed the purchase price you paid for the specific product giving rise to the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, data, or property damage resulting from product misuse or improper installation.

LiFePO4 batteries carry inherent risks if misused. Proper charging, storage, and usage per manufacturer specifications is your responsibility. This limitation does not waive your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection law.

10. Prohibited Uses

Our batteries are designed for residential energy storage, RV, marine, off-grid, golf cart, and backup power applications. You agree not to use batteries for military, medical life-support (unless certified), aerospace, or nuclear applications, or in ways that exceed rated voltage, current, or temperature specifications.

11. Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data under PIPEDA and applicable US state privacy laws.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. For Quebec customers, Quebec consumer protection law applies regardless of this choice of law provision.

Your statutory rights under provincial Consumer Protection Acts cannot be waived. Any term attempting to do so is void.

13. Dispute Resolution

We encourage you to contact us first to resolve disputes. For claims under provincial small claims limits, you may pursue actions in small claims court. Pre-dispute mandatory arbitration is not enforceable for consumer agreements under Canadian consumer protection law.

14. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, carrier disruptions, or internet/power failures.
