The Disaster

Picture this: Samm’s husband decides to surprise her with a “romantic getaway” in an RV he bought without asking—no power system. No plan. Just vibes and optimism.

Day one at the campsite: The fridge dies. All the food spoils. They’re eating gas station hot dogs under a flashlight that keeps flickering like a dying firefly having an existential crisis.

Day two: Her husband confidently declares, “I’ll just wire it myself.” Twenty minutes later, he’s tangled in cables like a man fighting an octopus, and the propane heater won’t stop beeping.

By day three, Samm is sitting in the dark, eating cold beans straight from a can, tears streaming down her face—but not sad tears. Angry-funny tears.
